Using Cheesecloth in Art Journaling
Hello!
Since this week’s challenge involves cheesecloth, I thought I would start by sharing one of my “oops” moment in crafting. Some years ago I was preparing supplies for a class and it involved dyeing cheesecloth. Once I dyed it I decided to throw it into the clothes dryer. Keep in mind that it was a full pack of cheesecloth…are you seeing the big picture? Needless to say, the cheesecloth got frizzy and fluffy and looked like a pile of dreadlocks. I had to dye a whole new batch of cheesecloth and the second time around I air dried it!
This week I began my page by gluing down an assortment of Gelli® prints. I decided to do paper collage on this page, connecting random pieces of paper. I used a palette knife to swipe white paint across the page, unifying all the images. I stenciled on a flower, scribbled with a pencil and adhered the cheesecloth down the left hand side of the page.
Have a blessed day!
